About Art Of The Fairytale

We’re Lorna & Lorraine, friends, artists and owners of Art of the Fairytale.
Passionate Upcyclers, Charity Shop Moochers, Houseplant Guru ( Lorraine) and Online Gaming Addict ( Lorna )
We recently sat down and began to think about the years we have created together ( 10 to be precise! ) and also the decades we have worked before that as a professional artist and designer. It made us truly appreciate the journey we have been on, but also how fast time flies and perhaps this is why we love stopping the clock so much through our portraiture ☺
In Spring 2024 we opened our first studio together at the very beautiful Kenfig Nature Reserve, a 1600 acre coastal retreat teeming with wildlife and inspiring landscapes to explore.
As ’Artists in Residence’ at Kenfig we are able to promote and showcase the talent of Fellow Welsh Artists in our ‘Sker Gallery’, as well as play host to creative Art & Wellness workshops.
Inspiring creativity to support mental well being is something we both feel passionately about and plan to expand this aspect of our work to reach and empower more people through the mediums of art and photography and via projects such as ‘Power of the Portrait’ ( coming soon ) and MasectoME.
Our studio is a haven of tranquilty and calm … we have created a safe place for you to come and share your ‘why’, your concerns, your aspirations and your story … because we know that the thought of a photoshoot is, for many of us, right up
there with a root canal!
We are thrilled (and just a teeny bit proud) to have received recognition for our work.

Each portrait we create is edited by us personally, no third party, we set aside time to retouch with care and attention, knowing
your story and your why.
We are with you every step of the way, so that we create legacy portraits that show you at your absolute, amazing best .. The ‘you’ everyone sees, but that you want to reconnect with and believe in ☺
And whilst we have a lot of fun creating together we are also commited to learning and developing.
